Fishing is fun!
Sunday, December 31, 2006 10:58 PM

I'm going fishing tomorrow!(:

Under the influence of my cousin and his family, we tried fishing for the first time.
At east coast, and it was raining.
So naturally I wasn't in a very good mood lah.
And what's more, when I realised we were there to fish,
I was a little pissed cuz in my mind, fishing=boring=waste of time.
haha but when I got to try fishing using on one of theirs' fishing rod,
AND actually caught a fish[my first!!!], I guess I get this perverse sense of feeling
of catching something alive and kicking, thus I got 'hooked up' too!
hahaha I think fishing is really kinda fun in a way, when you want to catch small fishes.
Big ones you have to wait, and wait and wait.
Lols I dun think I can do that.

And so.. we went to buy our own fishing rods just now, plus the bait and stuff liddat at Changi!
Somehow excited at catching more fishes tomorrow.
hehehe and have a 'fish dinner.' =X

Ramdon morning post.
Friday, December 29, 2006 12:39 PM

AHA!
This seems to be a miracle!
I am up and laying my hands on this comp
before my brother does.
That I think is a first in these two months.

I normally wake up at this time[arnd 12+] and when I do
I can already hear my brother tapping furiously on the keyboard and clicking on the mouse,
followed by gunshots and 'aaah!' sounds of people getting killed.
But weirdly, this time round, I woke up at 11+[which is a miracle for me
and the time my brother normally wakes up] and
still have time to watch my 'Step Up' dvd, get dressed and washed up while he's
still sleeping!
Wahahaha.
Nothing much, just making a big deal out of a morning post.(:

Okay actually nth much to say, just that I'm hungry and craving for chocolates!
Grrrrrrr... Okay bye.

P.S. School's starting soon in 5 more days.(:
[LOL nothin, just wanna make you all mad]

Come on and Party! yeah!
Tuesday, December 26, 2006 3:55 PM

Okaaaaay, it's final: I can stand the song now[I think] and in fact, I think
it is not that bad after all.
[For those who are clueless please refer to previous post]

Well, what can I say other than people change

and so does their taste in music!
Okay I'm not saying that I'm going to listen to more

HI-5 songs from now on[spare me!] but I conclude this:
Keep singing the song you hate and it will soon be the song you like/love.

For example, you hate guo mei mei's new hit,
'Merry merry christmas baby...' hahaha okok shall not go on further..
So you just sing it repeatedly and repeatedly until BAM!
It suddenly strikes you.. that the song is not so bad after all! =D
LOL.
If you try it and it doesn't work even though you hum or

sang the used-to-hate song more than 20 times, then treat it as I'm talking rubbish because waddhya know? Maybe I am.
xD

And so! I went to school today,

got requested to sit further up front so I can hear oswell's melodious voice clearer,
and started doing cheers such as Gako[the frog].
hahaha and thus, I became oswell's
disappointment.
Because I refuse to be more enthusiastic,

to shout at the top of my lungs, to wave my hands wildly in the air
and shout 'Father Abraham has seven children!'.
LOL okay no I'm just kidding.
I know what you mean la, to be more hyped up

and have more energy flowing inside me right..
haha maybe it would'nt happen now

but when sec1 orientation comes, I assure you that
all my shouting will end up, as always, with a bad sore throat
and a 'sexy' or zero voice. xD
S
o dun worry bout the 'enthu' part k!
Worry about.. about..
what happens if all of us facils are down with sore throats
and can't shout anymore, and it's only the first day of orientation?!?
Okay. That most likely is not going to happen.
So worry about your sore throat instead, it sounds bad.

Take more strepsils and drink lots of honey water!=)

Still, oswell sucks because when we were playing

'A thousand-legged worms', he put me in between two guys,
who according to him, is 'spastic but nice.'
haha.. actually nothing's wrong with them except that

one of them kept imitating a dog barking and showing off his sweets,
and the other prefers to replace his facial expressions
with paper plates drawn with smileys and other emotion faces!
Very normal.
yeah.

LOL okay, enough suan-ing.
I mean no harm ! It's just a bo-liao way to pass the time.(:
And there's this other issue I need to cover.

I refer to oswell's

'SAVE MAGICAL REINDEERS FROM EXTINCTION' post.
Which is quite interesting la. BUT![there's always the but]
HE FORGOT THE ELVES!
YES THEE ELVES!!!!!!!
The ears-pointed sharpened-eyes magical little creatures

who helps to wrap all our gifts and presents efficiently!

Santa is switching to advanced tech now for all his works
such as delivery of presents, the usage of reindeers
and also not to forget, the wraping and
packaging of presents we all get every year!
Machine replaces hand-made work,

doing the job even neater and proper, and the elves,
like the reindeers, also find themselves jobless.
It is so unfair.
They spent effort and time ensuring each present
is fully-covered and beautifully-wrapped,
but at the end they know we mortals are just gonna rip away
the entire wrapping packet without the blink of an eye.
The days where they hum a tune as they wrap and package the presents,

dividing the job of producing a nicely-wrapped gift equally to everyone
and dutifully placing a pink ribbon on top of every single colourful presents are gone!
What's left, is machines, machines and machines.

The elves, like the reindeers, are
utterly demoralised
and feel no need to reproduce more baby magical elves.
As such, the numbers of magical elves are dwindling fast.

SO DO YOUR PART! Show your appreciation for these poor magical elves

by wishing everyone a MERRY MAGICAL ELVES DAY. The elves are counting on you.

This message has been brought to you by the International Magical Elves Association.

P.S I mentioned oswell's name four times. haha don't be too honoured k. It only happens once. =D

An uneasy feeling inside.
12:29 AM

I spent my christmas at home.=(

hahah it wasn't that bad lar. I kinda like staying at home.
Doing things at your own pace.
okay so anw, hope you guys spent yr Christmas Day fruitfully and at least with a christmas log cake?
haha.. I had a pathetic small log cake at The Jack's Place today with my family.
But it tasted good tho. =D

And... I hafta report to school 2moro morning at 8 because of the sec1 facils thingy.
I missed ALL the meetings cuz I was overseas, so I'm feeling pretty nervous.
Guessed I missed out on quite alot of things. Hopefully I can catch up faster 2moro.
And I gotta learn this new dance [I still prefer MaryMoon lar!].
I haven gotten a chance to see what this dance is gonna look like yet[2moro!], but the song we'll be dancing to and teaching the new sec1s is sung by.....
HI-5!
...
'Come on and Party!' by HI-5! to be exact.
I dunno what to say but this: WHAT?!?
HI-5?????
What do I look like to you?
A 6 year-old kid stupidly imitating the moves of the dance like those kids you see in Kids Central programme, HI-5?
Okay I dunno who chose this song, NO OFFENSE to him/her or whatever.
Maybe he/her[I got a feeling its a her] thinks it lifts up the mood and hopefully, is effective in getting everyone to be 100% enthusiastic cuz the song definitely does need people who are like that to sing it!
I, for one, is not that enthusiastic on the song.
It's really kinda kiddy you know.
And I cringed the first time my ears got exposed to it.
But what choice do I have??
I'm just a facilitator!
So I'm gonna start forcing myself to LIKE IT, no LOVE IT and start singing it like it is the best song that I ever heard and downloaded into my Zen.xD
hey who knows right? I'll probably grow to love it after I learn the dance and hear the song on repeat for more than 20 times!
WISH ME LUCK.

Alright! Bye!=D

P.S whoever wants to hear the song, tell me and I'll send it to you if I can thru msn. It may not be my cup of tea but it could be yours.(:

And if any of you councilors HAPPEN to chance upon this post and you were one of those who voted on this song to be used, don't get upset. I mean no harm and for one, it is definitely is tune-catching[I keep hearing it in my mind!].

Merry Christmas!
Monday, December 25, 2006 1:34 AM

Yo I'm back! Did you people miss me?
(: Aww it has been hard on you guys...

LOL! OKAY OKAY!
I had the greatest time in China!

I brought back-

1]Breath-taking pictures of the scenery there,
2]Memories of my entire experience I dun think I will ever forget,
3]the skill of bargaining and how to excel in it(haha),
4]Tidbits(!),
5]pirated dvds. (of course!!),
6]Gifts! For myself and yup, for some of my friends,
7]Soveniers,
8]new things I have learnt from my nicest nad most handsome tour guide!
9]the skill of being unfeeling towards beggars(I didn't want to but I had to! Or they're all surround me and follow me everywhere!!=( ),
10]LOTS AND LOTS MORE I AM UNABLE TO EXPRESS IN WORDS ALONE.

All in all, I had a fantastic time there and I've seen and discover many really interesting things there!

For instance, the driver seat in a car is always on the right hand side. Not like S'pore, which is always on the left.
And, they spit onto the ground whenever and wherever they like it. I was grossed out at first but slowly got used to it. hehe.
And and, the cabs there have respective colours and the tour guide reminded us which cab of what colour is the ones we can flag down and which cabs with what colour is not very safe ones. We try to flag down the white ones when needed, cuz it belongs to the govt or sth like that..
And also, when it's 5plus pm in china, the sky has alr darkened like it is 8pm in S'pore.

And many many more eye-openers!

I climbed up and all the way down of Mount HuangShan,
and if you think that's an easy feat, HA![the following pictures are not taken by me but from a website. The pics of Mt.HuangShan that are taken by me are seriously TOO MANY and I decided not to upload it cuz it'll take me decades to upload them all.]

Fyi, this is less than a quarter of the entire man-made stairs up to the top of Mount HuangShan!

This is called the 'Fei Lai Shi' in chinese, meaning the stone(looks like it)comes from nowhere, the sky perhaps, looking very out of place. I stood at the same position as that human being in the picture! And it is pretty scary looking down.

When I was there it was'nt snowing. boohoos. But the good thing is I can see all the rocks and the structure of all of them very clearly and boy, were they majestic!

I walked step by step up and down this mountain!![very very tiring.. ]

That's my hotel! hehehe. It's tv channels are not that bad too! xD

At night, I came out of the hotel for star-gazing.
There were countless stars that night I think I could just lie there forever and not think about anything at all.
I saw five shooting stars that night!!!
Was very happy cuz I've never seen a shooting stars before and now I've seen five!=D
I've made wishes but I think I'm too greedy so probably they will not all come true.
haha but it was definitely a memorable night for me.(:
Not forgetting me freezing to DEATH in that weather!

So much stuff happened during my trip to China I'll advise you not to ask me ,'how's yr trip to China?' when school reopens because I think my speech can take more than 30 minutes. At least.
LOL okay maybe not that long la.
But I'll rather you ask me cuz I'm super glad to talk about it.
wahahaha.
Okay.... it's late.
And it's Christmas!xD

SO...*inserts guo mei mei's album*
MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS BABY KUA KUA KUA SHI XIAN SUO YOU SHEN QI!
hahahhaa.. alright don't blame me! this lame stuff is originally inspired by boon hao, the ultimate lamer, who adores guo mei mei enough to put her song lyrics as his personal message.
Lols. kk...
Okay now I'll do a proper one k.

HOHOHO!
MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIENDS!
HAVE FUN DURING THE REST OF YOUR HOLIDAYS AND TAKE UPMOST CARE!
IF ANYONE SEES SANTA ASK HIM IF HE CAN GRANT MY FAMILY LUCK TO STRIKE LOTTERY EVERYTIME IN THE UPCOMING YEAR OKAY!
haha!xD

WOOTS!
Thursday, December 07, 2006 12:19 AM

WOOTS!
THANK GOD FOR CHANGI AIRPORT'S INTERNET SERVICES!
xD
I practically rushed here to lay my hands on this computer.
HEHEHEHE.
And
my brother couldn't be more contented, busy playing his Habbo Hotel now.

okay first things first!
ZHEN WEI!
HELP ME RECORD
STAR AWARDS!!

hahaha..
I know I said I got my cousin to help me already.
But I was thinking, even if nothing goes wrong and he did helped me, he wouldn't be able to pass it to me any time soon.
Not even when school reopens.

And I can't wait that long!
So HELP ME RECORD EVERY MINUTES EVERY SECOND OF
STAR AWARDS 2006 can??
NOTE: 6pm to 10pm on Channel 8 and 10pm to 11pm on Channel U.
So need two tapes.
Nevermind if you nv help me record the first 15 mins of Bai Wan Bao today.
Doesn't really matter.
haha. But STAR AWARD DOES!!=D
And it has obviously becoming more important ever since I found out only a few hours ago that Joe Zheng Yuan Chang is going to be there! And of course elvin ng la.

OMG. There's ELVIN NG AND JOE CHENG.
MADNESS!xD

Okok. Zhen Wei, help me okaaaay!!!
If really cannot, den nvm.. at most I toss away the idea of buying sovenier for you lor.
wahahaha. ok la kidding.
See I'm nice enough not to refer you as Ah Gong leh.
Lol.

The comp here doesn't have msn messenger.

Tried to download one but couldn't.
But that's okay..

My flight is at 3.20.
Trip to china about 6hours approximately I think.
I want longer hours!!!!
haha cuz I like flying in planes.
And the feeling of being served plane food.
wahahaha.

HMM..need to say some more things to pass the time.
..Oh ya, hardworking me decided to bring some of my chinese compre papers to china to do.
Whether I have the time to do I'm nt sure la.
haha.. but if I really completed them I think Lao Cai will cry if she knew.
LOL.

aaaaaah I am running out on topics.

Maybe I'll stop here and go play some online games or sth.

P.S I dun have window seats! =(
But I think I'll have it during my flight back to singapore two weeks later.
Two weeks without blogging! By the time I come back, my blog will be collecting flies and dust! haha I heard there are no computers in the hotels der. haha so you ppl better tag to keep it alive okay! (:

Sayonara ppl ! May god bless me and my family throughout the two weeks stay and let it and our flights be a pleasant and safe one!=D

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wednesday, December 06, 2006 9:35 PM

Why not last year or next year?
='(
I know I am going to have the show taped thanks to my cousin.

Talking about planes, I am going to miss my Triumph in the Skies Hong Kong drama on channel U at 10pm every monday to friday!

Damn nice.
Come back to Singapore must hurry up catch up on it!

BTW! If Zhen Wei happens to see this, PLEASE RMB TO HELP ME TAPE DOWN MY SHOWS!!!!
hahaha.. cuz he says he can't remember unless I remind him.
But sms fees from China seemed to be quite ex am I right?
So if any of you ppl see this, and see that ah gong is online, kindly help me remind him okay!
Thanks.. I dun wanna miss Girls Out Loud and Bai Wan Bao.
LOL.
Although Bai Wan Bao is another silly and bullshitting show from mediacorp.
Can't expect too much lar.

One more thing.

I AM GOING TO MISS STAR AWARDS 2006!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
URGH!
xD Luckily I asked my cousin to help me tape it.
How can I miss out Elvin Ng going up on stage to get his award?
He will be wearing a TUX! 0.O
='(
Only one thing good about me missing star awards is that I wun be able to see that idiotic ugly monkey's face on my television screen. =D
While he practically tries to steal the limelight and kisses the camera's butt, I am looking at the beautiful scenery in Su Zhou and not thinking of it's face at all.

Whoever vote for him to be the top 10 most popular artise must either have
1]serious mental issues. Brain damage etc..
or
2]eyesight problem
or
3]thought he/she was voting for elvin ng all the way.[imagine their horror when found out the truth]

Whatever the reason, screw you.
MOST POPULAR ARTISE?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA.
MOST UGLIEST ANIMAL-LIKE HUMAN BEING suits him better.

Lol okay dun wanna spoil my mood.
Setting off for china soon and I haven pack some of my stuff yet!
Yikes.
Not much lar, but my Zen is going to come with me no matter what.
(:
And of course my hp.
Can I be 3G-ing to frens in S'pore when I'm in Shanghai huh?
LOL no la, not going to try.
Will cost me a bomb.

Alrighty!
Here is my late post for Music And Movement!
Loved it. (:

[When I say late, I mean LATE]

Arrived in school and in a dilemma.
Because I didn't know whether to be meeting Modern Dance or CLDDS first.
But was relieved to find out that both CCAs are 'living' door to door!xD
IT special room 1- Modern Dance
!T special room 2-CLDDS
Everyone were basically slacking around..practised for a little while..
And then it was make-up time! =D
Because I am a noob at this kind of thing, I had the girls in Modern Dance to help me.
And they all were so very helpful and kind.
My eye-shadow was done by fiona, who was gracious enough to go to much extent and make me look less 'wicked' because of the golden-brown colour eye-shadow which was required for everyone of us in MD.
Thanks girl.
Cinny helped me with my eye-liner around my eyes.
We were supposed to put A LOT of eye-liner as requested by our MD teacher, Miss Xu[who puts on a lot too herself].=)
And the whole process was very fun!
Walk into the room and you see girls everywhere, shouting for eye-liners, foundation, lip-gloss... and costumes sprawled all over the tables and chairs.. kind souls helping us to straighten our hair using a hair-sraightener.. some hardworking ones doing warm-up on the floor.. make-up sets all over the place!
hahhaha.. maybe if you come in at the right time you can see someone stripping.
LOL no lar I'm kidding.
It was busy busy busy!
And then I had to go on stage much earlier because of my CLDDS Xiang Shen with Jia Yan, who was nice and went to put some eye-liner around her eyes too just to pei he wo.
Because it's really a bit weird to see two people on stage, one looking like a normal teenager and the other looking like an over-enthusiastic gothic freak.
hahhaa..

Was glad nothing went wrong with Xiang Shen.
I kept seeing Mushroom Head's face in front of me and I was forced to make eye-contact with her, many times.
urgh, it was disgusting.
But I saw my parents too! hehehe..
with my brother..hope they were'nt so freaked out by my panda eyes.[not eye-bags, eye-liner]
Then when it was Modern Dance turn, I was so so so nervous, along with the rest.
Luckily nothing major goes wrong and we all were great. =)
Too bad our teacher was'nt there to see us.
PICTURES FROM MUSIC & MOVEMENT! =D
Getting Prepared!
They helped me straighten my hair!
haha I feel like a star already!
Chinese Dance people getting ready.
haha Xiao Zi's trying to perfect her make-up. She's pretty enough already!(:
LOL I got nicole to put on blue eye-liner for Wei Sheng, who was quite co-operative ;)
MWAHAHAHAHA. A guy with blue eye-liner. BEWARE.
A nice picture with Cinny, who's looking pretty gothic. hahaha.
Sexy Yizhen and me! wahahaha.xD
Me and my new-found friend, Sheenas![I dun really know how to spell her name. Sorry girl!]
She's very nice!=D
The gothic-looking people-felicia, cinny and rui ting!
haha maybe not so after all, we were all smiles!
Went over to CLDDS room and caught some make-up action going on there too!
Cheers to the invincible duo- FELICIA AND JIA YAN!!!
Walao.. Fiona comes and spoil the picture.
LOL no la I'm kidding.. we all rawk!
Much loves<3
On Stage!
Getting into the mood....
Fierce! I see cinny... xD
That's all for Modern Dance. My dad helped me record a video of some parts of the dance, but somehow it cannot be seen in the computer.
=(
But I''ll try! (:
Still, here is one shot of the chinese drums! woo!
And Guzheng! hehehe I see Huiting and Sophia..
After the curtain closes and the audience starts to leave...
Fiona went to eat Nasi Lemak with me and my family! yay..=)
With goofy-looking Oswell. xD
P.S.
This is one hell of an experience I would never forget.

Like a Star.

URGH.
Okay, wrong reaction.
I am supposed to be giddy with truimph and shout 'yay' right?
After all, I did sign up for it.
And I was very excited when I heard alan announced during morning assembly one month ago that they will be choosing camp facils.
So what is wrong with me now.
Let's see...
1] I signed up with Fiona Tan Maey Yee. and she's not gonna be with me. =( Less fun cuz we make a crazy pair.
2]There are so little sec3s chosen! I only know yizhen. not close to gloria. And some others sec2s I know are just acquintances. will die of boredom, no one to gossip with.
3]I dunno, just don't feel the drive now. No mood to think of cheers and stuff, being enthusiastic and all that. I must be getting mature. [LOL dun wanna use old]

Okay judging by these few statements now, I should not be in the list at all.
I shouldn't be spoiling the whole camp and making the experience a bad one for the sec1s.
But too bad! I am gonna be there and I will make the whole camp look dull and uninteresting.
...
lols nah I'm kidding.
I won't be so mean and irresponsible la.
The worse I can do is invent a really bad and boring cheering like ' Up down left right! North south east west! Who's the best? *name of class* Louder! *name of class*!'
LOL!

Okay its 2.18am.
My eyes are hurting.

P.S Anyone knows of a really rawking cheer I could use? (:

1.20am.
Friday, December 01, 2006 1:20 AM

1.20am.
Just logged out of MSN.
Am not feeling very tired nor energetic.
Just downloaded tons of great songs into my Zen.
Super glad that they can all accompany me to my trip to China soon.(:
-
1.21am.
Feeling a little pissed.
Someone didn't get the message.
What I have done obviously was not obvious enough.
Ain't gonna make the first move always, anymore and everytime.
-
1.22am.
Time to sleep.
Just had the urge to blog.
Like cinny, wanted initially to close down this blog many times.
But didn't have the courage because I know I will regret it when I grow older.

1.23am.
Am feeling out of sorts.
Typing pointless stuff right now.
This whole post comes to me as a surprise.
I didn't realise I was capable of adopting this kind of writing style.

This must be due to lack of sleep.
Everything will turn back to normal tomorrow.

Night!

WELCOME:)

you are not alone
I love him all the same

saturday, july 18th, 2009. Michael Jackson, King of Pop
If I were to write this post one week ago I wouldn't have got past the first few lines, without crying so badly. Admittedly, the news of his passing did not bothered, much less saddened me because my impression of him was vague and as a child I wasn;t exposed to any of this songs or videos, just news from the press every now and then. Till a few days after his death. I went on Youtube and before I knew it I was clicking videos after videos, watching and in awe of this man who not only served to entertain, but strived to serve the community with his enormous heart. And as I watched on and knew more, so much more about what he've been through his life, emotions started pouring in. And when I least expected it, tears started to come. I was never his fan, but now I regret not being one. It is not just one of those idol craze or whatever no, it was true sincere admiration for his works and humanitarianism that touched me, that made me look upon him as a role model. Its hard to believe that since the media had portrayed him as some wacko freak, paedophile, child molester..etc. but may I say, BULLSHIT. he is none of that sort. Other than being the greatest entertainer of the time and coming up with the most original dance moves that many stars tried hard (but pale in comparison in my opinion) to imitate, Micheal Jackson shares the love he has, especially to children, to people around him. He was a philanthropist, donating millions of dollars to the record 39 charities he supported, and raising more through his own Heal the World Foundation. He built NeverLand Ranch, complete with amusement parks, fun rides, a place where children dreamed of going for fun and laughter. From young, Michael Jackson had a childhood very different from others, where had to perform at a very young age. When he made mistakes, his father used to beat him, and not only with a belt. To make up for his lost childhood, Michael had always adored children and he himself is somehow like a child trapped in an adult body (watch his documentary, ignore the stupid bastard interviewer who was plain bias and selfish to see that such a nature still exists in a man so great he just had to bring him down. shall not waste time elaborating on this backstabbing ass because he's simply not worth it. If you're interested, watch the documentary Living with Michael Jackson on youtube. I could'nt get past to the last few parts because I got so fed up with his narrow-mindedness and ignorance that I closed the window). So back to the point. Michael Jackson brought orphans to NeverLand, where they play freely in the theme parks and find joy and laughter, which he himself derive more than anyone else' from the happy looks on their faces. Children were invited for sleepovers at his place, because it was safe, secure. But when news of him being a child paedophile arose after being charged by one of the kids who slept in his room, he ended up paying millions of dollars aside from being publicly humiliated and disgraced. because he did nothing disgraceful of that sort. because a few years later the kid owned up that it was his parents who made him to do, succumbed to the temptation of money, something which Micheal Jackson do not lacked. The father was tape-recorded discussing his intention to pursue charges, where he said, "If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever ... Michael's career will be over". It was painful. Yet Michael still persisted, years later, in bringing less fortunate children to NeverLand, because that was more important to him. Even though the pain and hurt he had gone through had probably never healed. His strength is one of the reasons why I admire him so much. Then there was another incident, this time of him 'dangling' his baby over the window. 'omg he's crazy he wants to throw the baby down!!!!' maybe that's what it seemed like on tv and on papers, but what they didn't show is the crowd of fans below the hotel he's staying, yelling his name and wanting to also see his baby. So Michael showed them his baby, his hands wrapped under his baby's arms so tight and pulled him back as fast as he could. But what did the viewers see? A slowed-down version of him apparently dangling his baby in mid-air like a bad father. Its ignorance if people believed he was going to actually throw his own baby down the building. And at that time, I was one of the ignorant ones. I remembered looking at the pictures on some gossip magazine and felt slightly freaked out. But now I realise how much he loved his children, and how hard he tried to protect them from the media. And again, all these negative press and biasness probably was too overwhelming....how much pain can a person take? we would never know because we're not him, its hard to understand. But maybe all these people will leave him alone now, since he's already gone. I bought The Essential Michael Jackson cd, a compilation of hit songs by him. My dad and I watched his concerts and performances and music videos and we were more than in awe, in fact I think thats an understatement. Newfound respect and admiration for the man who was so creative and original, who dared to do things not commonly seen, creating dance steps while he sang at those times when most singers just stood there and sung. He thought of challenging and exciting music videos where people had never seen the injection of extra footage to create a kind of story. And not to mention those crazy vocals, coordinated dance moves, the famous moonwalk (I never get tired of it) and this amazing 45degree tilt he does which simply blows my mind away. It was all his signature style, the gloves, the crotch-grabbing whatever. Every single performance was done in class and so much more. He was an inspiration to people over the world, different races, and especially to African-Americans. He was an icon and also their pride. I can rattle on and on because there's too many things about him that are truly inspiring and simply awesome but sometimes words just cant fully express it. And yes maybe I do seem a little bias but this is what I truly feel. My only regret is that I have and will never get the chance to attend one of his mind-blowing concerts and be one of those lucky fans who felt the presence of Michael Jackson, the most successful entertainer of all time, the King Of Pop. 'Smile, even though your heart is aching.' This is one of the lyrics from his favourite song 'Smile', written by Charlie Chaplin and was sung during his memorial. I remembered someone said something like this during the memorial, 'Even though we need him here, but I guess God needed him more'. Even though we miss him so much, Heaven is probably the place he needs to be, away from any pain, suffering or cruelty. (rhymes!) He has already achieved so much and left behind a wonderful legecy that will pass down to generations after generations. Thank you Michael.
