okay as we all kmow, there's this go-for-the-tourism-talk-and-get-to-watch-rush-hour-3-for-free thingy this sat morning. and I made so much fuss about not being able to go cuz I got bio ssp[yawn,what's new?], that I even considered going down on my knees and ask miss tan to cancel it, as damien suggested. haha no la. so after hours and days of agony as people around me discuss of what to bring and wear on sat, I was finally relieved of it when I was informed on the last period of the day, that bio ssp was cancelled. SO LAST MINUTE! at the last period of the day/week sommor, when my hope was slowly slipping away! haha am i being too dramatic? actually i dun even like to watch jackie chan movies that much, but this time it's different ok people. why do everone want to go-for-the-tourism-talk-and-get-to-watch-rush-hour-3-for-free thingy? keyword is of course: FREE FREE! OF COURSE GO LA! still get to enjoy a one set COMBO MEAL sommor leh! hahhaa.. i sound so cheapskate. but I am la. lols. yay i'm so happy i can go 2moro! :D
i just watched yu le bai fen bai, and when i saw the news concerning selina, i was so upset! how can they accuse her of being money-faced and yi jiao ta liang chuan[one leg step two boats]? she was so hurt that she cried at the press conference, while trying to clarify things, with all those reporters snapping pictures away. so poor thing! those stupid reporters, its so obvious they're trying to create new gossip and stir up trouble so that they can have something to report about and hold on to their pathetic job and thus continue to live their life comfortably through ruining others! no matter what, i will always support selina!! or rather, S.H.E!!! haha.
my oral's on monday. what if the passage is really hard? with sentence like,' the talkative thugs tried to talk things over the telephone.' haha okay it makes no sense, but if sth like that, with all the 'th' and stuff all cramped in one sentence, comes out, im dead. lols.

Among all the wonderful national day songs, this is my FAVOURITE, and also its chinese version. :)
and I chanced upon this part of the song for the NDP 2007 SINGA CITY orchestra segment. Apparently, boon hao had played a part in this earth segment. LOL big deal ar. *rolls eyes* its nth actually, just some orchestra playing and people harmoniously singing 'SiNGA SINGA SINGA' over and over again.
One of the best things I love about singapore is that the govt makes sure we know how to speak english AND chinese quite fluently to a certain extent , which provides a lot of convenience for us when we are overseas and its sth that i am proud of. (: lols i am feeling so patriotic.

and so I took my PLAY album and went on my loooong journey to IMM. after so many train rides[felt like puking] I finally reached IMM, and was only a short distance away from... S . H . E !!!! hahahaa.. I went in and it was SO CROWDED! but I've expected that since S.H.E's autograph session has always been like that, many many fams! :D I went to find the queue and was led to the forth floor, inside some indoor passageway that's like a maze cuz there are so many routes inside. AND IT WAS FILLED WITH SO MANY FANS!!! even saying its a 'very long queue' is an understatement. After walking down rows and rows of fans, whom are all sitting down already in the queue[I think some even stayed overnight!], I finally spotted gideon and kaixiang. LOL. yes weird I know, like since when does gideon like SHE? turns out he's just there to accompany kaixiang, who likes hebe. wah this is really chi bao mei shi zuo. xD then as the autograph session hasn't started yet and the queue was a long way from moving, gideon and I went to buy lunch for ourselves and kx. I also conveniently queued up to obtain a S.h.E album cover with a bigass picture of ELLA on it after showing my album as proof. and cuz gideon went to buy food first, i had 3 albums[mine,his, and kx's] on my hands so when it was my turn, the person asked, 'ni yao nai gi ge?' and i showed her all three albums and said I wan ella hebe and selina. haha looking at the person's face she must have thought im crazy, to buy three same albums just to get three diff. covers. after that we went back to the queue and by then it was starting to move a little. and guess how long we queued up? APPROXIMATELY FOUR WHOLE HOURS, WHILE MOSTLY STANDING UP! I was bored to tears and I cant even play the Connect Four I brought becuz everytime I wanted to sit down and play the queue will start moving again. so i took out my tuition notebook[cuz i had tuition tad morning] and started stuffing my brain with loagrarithms and trigonometry eqns, but soon i got bored and stopped reading. oh ya and boon hao and his frens cut into our queue. hmph. so shameless la. hahah no la kidding. so anw, even tho my mood was so bad[I hate queueing up! okay who does.]it all turned good the moment I saw S.H.E!! you know, everytime you see them on tv and you think its nth when you see yr idols in real person, but lemme tell u its always an undescribable strange feeling, sort of like you cant actually believe ure seeing them in REAL life. haha its more than an adrenaline rush, must experience it yrself. and so I started whipping out my camera and taking pictures and videos! when I was queuing up there was a check conducted to see if our albums were produced in taiwan and the albums of the two girls in front of us turned out to be from china, and they dun even know it! so the person asked them to leave the queue! I feel so sorry for them, I think they queued for arnd four hours too leh! then end up not even getting their albums signed, unless they went and queue up again la. hais. how sad.
anyway, they are ALL so pretty!!

haha yes I know zhou chong qing's hair is weird. but he is very funny la, he warned us to be careful when walking down from the stage and not fall down and get hurt like him when he was cycling[if you read the news u get wad i mean].
haha so I went onstage and shook all of their hands! :D
And I TALKED TO ELLA!!!! hahahaha... really!! When I shook her hand, I told her, ' ella 加油！你真的很棒！' and she smiled and said, '谢谢！' and that's not it ok! I reached out my hand to give her a pink Campino sweet[it was a last-minute decision], saying,'na, 这个给你！' which she replied, 'er 我不能受礼物耶，你帮我吃好吗？' so I said ' 好！' lols yes I didnt really care if i was holding up the queue or not. kaixiang, who was standing in front of hebe and on my right, was like waiting for me to move before he can collect his signed lyrics book. haha anw I think they cant accept presents cuz of the possibility tad some psycho fan may attempt to poison them. lols so anw i'm very happy on that day! Ella's voice sounds so smooth and she looks pretty close up! :D anw i really hate it when anyone comes and purposely try to burst my bubble by saying sacarstic things about s.h.e. even if its a joke i hate it when they carry it too far. ok shall not elaborate, dampens my mood.
okay here's S.H.E's LUN DUN DA QIAO KUA XIA LAI, one of my favourite songs in their album. :)
it doesnt really look like an official MV right? Looks so fan-made. haha.

Michael Jackson, King of Pop
If I were to write this post one week ago I wouldn't have got past the first few lines, without crying so badly.
Admittedly, the news of his passing did not bothered, much less saddened me because my impression of him was vague and as a child I wasn;t exposed to any of this songs or videos, just news from the press every now and then. Till a few days after his death. I went on Youtube and before I knew it I was clicking videos after videos, watching and in awe of this man who not only served to entertain, but strived to serve the community with his enormous heart. And as I watched on and knew more, so much more about what he've been through his life, emotions started pouring in. And when I least expected it, tears started to come. I was never his fan, but now I regret not being one. It is not just one of those idol craze or whatever no, it was true sincere admiration for his works and humanitarianism that touched me, that made me look upon him as a role model.
Its hard to believe that since the media had portrayed him as some wacko freak, paedophile, child molester..etc. but may I say, BULLSHIT. he is none of that sort. Other than being the greatest entertainer of the time and coming up with the most original dance moves that many stars tried hard (but pale in comparison in my opinion) to imitate, Micheal Jackson shares the love he has, especially to children, to people around him. He was a philanthropist, donating millions of dollars to the record 39 charities he supported, and raising more through his own Heal the World Foundation. He built NeverLand Ranch, complete with amusement parks, fun rides, a place where children dreamed of going for fun and laughter. From young, Michael Jackson had a childhood very different from others, where had to perform at a very young age. When he made mistakes, his father used to beat him, and not only with a belt.
To make up for his lost childhood, Michael had always adored children and he himself is somehow like a child trapped in an adult body (watch his documentary, ignore the stupid bastard interviewer who was plain bias and selfish to see that such a nature still exists in a man so great he just had to bring him down. shall not waste time elaborating on this backstabbing ass because he's simply not worth it. If you're interested, watch the documentary Living with Michael Jackson on youtube. I could'nt get past to the last few parts because I got so fed up with his narrow-mindedness and ignorance that I closed the window). So back to the point. Michael Jackson brought orphans to NeverLand, where they play freely in the theme parks and find joy and laughter, which he himself derive more than anyone else' from the happy looks on their faces. Children were invited for sleepovers at his place, because it was safe, secure. But when news of him being a child paedophile arose after being charged by one of the kids who slept in his room, he ended up paying millions of dollars aside from being publicly humiliated and disgraced. because he did nothing disgraceful of that sort. because a few years later the kid owned up that it was his parents who made him to do, succumbed to the temptation of money, something which Micheal Jackson do not lacked. The father was tape-recorded discussing his intention to pursue charges, where he said, "If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever ... Michael's career will be over". It was painful. Yet Michael still persisted, years later, in bringing less fortunate children to NeverLand, because that was more important to him. Even though the pain and hurt he had gone through had probably never healed. His strength is one of the reasons why I admire him so much.
Then there was another incident, this time of him 'dangling' his baby over the window. 'omg he's crazy he wants to throw the baby down!!!!' maybe that's what it seemed like on tv and on papers, but what they didn't show is the crowd of fans below the hotel he's staying, yelling his name and wanting to also see his baby. So Michael showed them his baby, his hands wrapped under his baby's arms so tight and pulled him back as fast as he could. But what did the viewers see? A slowed-down version of him apparently dangling his baby in mid-air like a bad father. Its ignorance if people believed he was going to actually throw his own baby down the building. And at that time, I was one of the ignorant ones. I remembered looking at the pictures on some gossip magazine and felt slightly freaked out. But now I realise how much he loved his children, and how hard he tried to protect them from the media. And again, all these negative press and biasness probably was too overwhelming....how much pain can a person take? we would never know because we're not him, its hard to understand. But maybe all these people will leave him alone now, since he's already gone.
I bought The Essential Michael Jackson cd, a compilation of hit songs by him. My dad and I watched his concerts and performances and music videos and we were more than in awe, in fact I think thats an understatement. Newfound respect and admiration for the man who was so creative and original, who dared to do things not commonly seen, creating dance steps while he sang at those times when most singers just stood there and sung. He thought of challenging and exciting music videos where people had never seen the injection of extra footage to create a kind of story. And not to mention those crazy vocals, coordinated dance moves, the famous moonwalk (I never get tired of it) and this amazing 45degree tilt he does which simply blows my mind away. It was all his signature style, the gloves, the crotch-grabbing whatever. Every single performance was done in class and so much more. He was an inspiration to people over the world, different races, and especially to African-Americans. He was an icon and also their pride.
I can rattle on and on because there's too many things about him that are truly inspiring and simply awesome but sometimes words just cant fully express it. And yes maybe I do seem a little bias but this is what I truly feel. My only regret is that I have and will never get the chance to attend one of his mind-blowing concerts and be one of those lucky fans who felt the presence of Michael Jackson, the most successful entertainer of all time, the King Of Pop.

I remembered someone said something like this during the memorial, 'Even though we need him here, but I guess God needed him more'. Even though we miss him so much, Heaven is probably the place he needs to be, away from any pain, suffering or cruelty. (rhymes!) He has already achieved so much and left behind a wonderful legecy that will pass down to generations after generations.
