sleepover!
Saturday, June 28, 2008 12:12 AM

had my first ever sleepover at jm's hse on friday! :)

it was not planned, and the whole thing was super funny. here's what happened:
mingli and I decided to give jm a surprise by turning up at her hse on friday night, with belated birthday presents and song!
I rushed to amk mrt station to meet mingli after my cca and we found out that jm was still outside with her friends and not at home.
nevermind, we shall go eat dinner first. happily went to eat dumpling noodles and chicken rice at the nearby food stall.
after eating we found out jm's at the nearby bus stop waiting for the bus already. realised the timing was very good and we were very excited at our brilliant idea.
decided to pass time by taking a small walk around the area so jm can reach home first. then we can leave.
passed by a dessert stall, i said i wanted to eat chin chow. went in and sat at the table nearest to the entrance.
one bus went by us at the opposite road, suspected jm's on it. were rejoicing that our plan was finally gonna be put into action!
got a call from jm.

'HAHAHA WHY ARE YOU AND MINGLI SITTING AT THE DESSERT STALL?'

-.- !!!!!!!!!!!!

*froze* (with frantic gestures to mingli mouthing the words: shit she knows!) *try to act totally blur and put my cldds skills to immediate use*

'huh? what are you talking about jm? I'm at home! what dessert stall? ARE YOU HALLUCINATING JM?'

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. she so did not believe me even tho she admitted later on i acted very concincingly okay! GRRRRR!!!

totally discouraged and saddened by our failure of Plan A(because of me and chin chow la ok.hahaha WALAO what are the chances???), we came up with Plan B.
went below jm's block intending to tell her to come down and meet us, when we were thinking of leaving the present at the meeting spot and then hiding somewhere to see her reaction.
mingli was trying to explain things to jm on the phone and telling her to come down when she shocked me by shouting suddenly.
i turned to where she was looking and saw jm standing at the pavement opposite us talking in the phone.

-.-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we haven even hide yet!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA I really dont know what to say. JM WHY CANT U JUST ACT LIKE YOU DONT KNOW AND PLAY ALONG AND MAKE US FEEL ACCOMPLISED? HUH? HUH?
LOL! WE'RE LIKE LOSERS LA!

needless to say, the scene that kept playing over in me and mingli minds nv happened, and all that planning the week before came to waste. hahahahahaha. but on the bright side, it was really hilarious when we see our plan backfired in front of our eyes, not to mention memorable! one thing we learnt at the end of the day: we really cant be birthday planners. haha!

the nerds unite!

hahahhaah very very unglam!

competing for the biggest eyes. AIYAA MINGLI YOU WIN YOU WIN!

'and you still call yourself a S.H.E fan. you only listen to english songs now, you click five betrayer!'

HAHAHAHA.. I think mingli meant 'S.H.E betrayer'. but yeah, come to think of it, I do seem to listen to english songs more as compared to last time (actually right now, listening to muttons to midnight!)..and the english songs in my phone are starting to dominate the chinese ones...but HEY HEY HEY this does not mean i've lost my cheena self okay! hahaha!
and this does not mean I am a S.H.E betrayer!!! because deep deep down in my heart S.H.E will always occupy an important and cherished place!! oh and btw,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember okay! haha..

and I know the next day is JOE CHENG'S BIRTHDAY!

liked him since 'It started with a kiss' (means since very long long ago)! Tall..handsome..killer smile..amazing eyes..gosh he's like the chinese version of kyle patrick! hahahaha! okay you may disagree, but both are undeniably (at least to me la) wayy hot man. am gonna buy 'it started with a kiss 2' dvd soooon (see I totally sound like my old cheena self!)! haha!

the day i met with theclickfive
Thursday, June 05, 2008 11:24 PM

HAHAHA yea man finally uploaded the pics and updating my blog! sorry for the late update.. there were sooo many pics and i took time to pick out the clearer pics, so you guys can have a better view of how hot theclickfive, esp. kyle and joey(no offense to those who prefer the rest)!, are. lols! :D

I remembered it was quite late in the night when I was sitting in front of the computer surfing the net out of boredom, and I decided to search for 'the click five' under youtube..pretty soon i started clicking on the related links that came out after each one, watching all the videos and finding myself getting drawn to the band with such amazing chemistry. hahaha! and now fast forward a few monthes, past the time when they came to singapore to perform for 'live the dream' (i wasnt even into them at that time, so i didnt catched the episode!urgh!) , past the time when they dropped by my secondary school(!!) for a greeting session (feel like stabbing my heart everytime i think of it. cuz i have'nt started to like them then and i wasn't even showing the slightest interest when i heard they were in the hall. didnt even bother going up. GRR what an idiot.), all these doesn't matter now because theclickfive, KYLE PATRICK, JOEY ZEHR, JOE GUESE, BEN ROMANS AND ETHAN MENTZER actually stood only a few inches away from me and looked at me and talked to me and was in the same room with me, breathing the same air as me! ahhhh! (jm said im so gonna get punched when i walk down the streets. HAHAHA.) this year so far, the two biggest thing that happened in my life is the POP talent showcase(because i've nv sang in front of so many ppl before!) and second is meeting the click five in person. it's just really awesome and im super grateful for that! :)

alrighty! i'll talk about the concert first! have to build up the suspense before the tea session post(ya i know you can just scroll down but aiya humour me abit la) ! hahaha.

me and ennoi bought the Free Standing tickets and went to the Singapore Indoor Stadium few hours earlier so that we can be ahead in the queue! (yes just like those fans you see in the shows and roll yr eyes at. haha. well i used to too, but guess it'll all makes sense when you're experiencing it yrself!)

I psycho-ed ennoi into liking clickfive (not that she already does, but SO much more!!she likes paramore btw)!

we walked the red carpet. wahahaha. the last time i walked the red carpet was during graduation day in my secondary school. LOL!

haha we're so ready to rock man!

the tickets allowed us to obtain our limited edition clickfive poster heree!

ennoi bought an umbrella in case it rains. hahaha how practical (which is a good thing)!

sense of achievement looking at the queue behind us. haha!

into the stadium...

go glad to see mingli and jm! :D caught up with them a little before the concert begins.

huge curtain in front of the stage. anticipating...

everyone went mad when the shadows appeared. my heart started thumping way fast!

the guysrted towering above us and i didnt manage to take pics of all of them because I was so busy jumping up and down that i forgot! hahaha it was so exciting!!

they kicked it off with 'flipside'!

it was really crazy at the beginning. all the pushing, the screaming, i had bodies pressed against me (all girls, so its okay la. just very sweaty. haha), and my hair was all over the place! some girls in front fainted or got weak in the knees i think, cuz i saw the security guards kinda lifted them out and apparently even stretchers were used? it was an eye-opener for me because its my first time being in an english concert. haha yea.. but when the pushing part ends or got less crazy, we were all just enjoying ourselves, getting high with the songs, and with the band! ooooh and yes kyle looked absoultely gorgeous that night. he's like some rocker prince on stage or sth. HAHA. maybe thats why the girls in front fainted. we have strong hearts!

we had these to pump it up (lose mine in the middle of the concert but kind mingli gave me hers so now i have one on my wall!)! but personally i think our hands are enough. :)

haha having said so, i really dont get that long thing there!

oh gosh i remember those eyes...

ethan with bass!

ben romans/austin sin claire/mad scientist got really wild that night. hahaha. he was prancing around the stage, with his arms flailing in the air, shaking his butt! LOL. hot hot hot with his keyboards!

the upside-down keyboard (i keep forgetting whats it called even tho jm told me after the concert!and ben told me (haha ya serious) during the tea session, he said it was actually kyle's mom's! more on that later. ahahaha.) is seriously cool man, more bands should use it. but nobody can own it as much as ben does! lols.

joey with his drums!

omg jm look how cute he is! hahahaha!

mingli these two pictures are for you. cool shots of joe rocking out. hope you like it. HAHA!

hahaha one time kyle drank from his mineral bottle and he flung it towards us. the first time he did that one nice little drop went into my mouth, and the second time he did that, one went into my mouth and another into my left eye! as lynette yeo said when she heard about it, water that enters the eye enters the blood. so i am right to say that(humour me humour me!), apart from kissing kyle indirectly, i have him flowing in my veins right now!MWAHAHAHAHAHA. WHAT WHAT!

they had an extensive encore with four songs! one of them was headlight disco and we saw these huge disco balls above. hahaha love it!

oh oh oh oh to a headlight disco!

one of the best parts of the concert was when they sang 'jenny'! omg everyone was on their feet, singing along at the top of their voices, moving their bodies with the music, it was bliss! haha! 'Jenny' was the last song, how we didnt wanted it to end!

SINGAPORE JUST GOT ROCKED! ! !

i

AND YES! here comes the exclusive chill-out session with the THE CLICK FIVE i have been raving for days( i could go for monthes!)!!!!!! :D

I was one of the 25lucky winners and i brought SEOW ENNOI along! :D she's as excited as i do! she'll definitely scream along with me(as witnessed during the concert)when kyle patrick appears. hahahaha!

we had these red bands around our wrists during admission!its like a vip pass to meet the band!lols. if only they were more glam. kinda reminds you of escape theme park passes right? HAHA.

it was held in the balcony at heeren! i've never been there before. ennoi said its an expensive place to dine, and i guess so...since i spot a jacuzzi. hahaha..initially when we all went in I thought the clickfive is gonna like come and jump right into it half-naked or sth. got me all excited. lols!

pastries! there were tables filled with plates of these and drinks all around. we were to be seated down and the muttons said that each member of theclickfive will come around to our table to mingle. hahahhahaha we all cheered when they said that! sounded so shiok! haha.

the muttons!

we were all sitting there, waiting. and oh my gosh when they came out I think I kinda froze! It was all so unreal! haha its like, I knew they were gonna come, but when they do come, and i really saw them in the flesh, walking past me all tall and smiley and everything, WOAH. WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH. it just hits me that THEY ARE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME you know? hahahahaha i think my heart even stopped for a second! its so so surreal i cant even describe it. lols.

omg omg omg. (its a wonder i was still in the right mind to take pictures!)

there were no zoom my friends!

zoom zoom zoom in on kyle now! ;D

love joey's red hot skinny jeans!

just keep breathing felicia..

*faints*

*wakes up and then faints again* HAHAHA okay im just kidding, I totally kept my cool alright! even when joey zehr (omg) looked my way! :D SCREAM GIRLS!!!!!!

haha and even with ethan mentzer!

ben said he's gonna jump right in the jacuzzi directly after the session. hahaha.

this is not a dream. this is not a dream..

they went into this room to eat a little before leaving. the funny thing is that we were all quite organized! nobody tried to barge in or anything, and I even went with ennoi to the buffet table casually to grab a bite. lols! the muttons noticed that our table was the one with the least food left. guess the other girls sitting at our table are gluttons like us too. hahahaha.

recorded a video(lazy to upload) of them leaving, and joey shaking my hands as he said goodbye. *squeals*

some of the fans below (as they could'nt come up) made this giant poster for ben. when the guys walked down the stairs, the fans all started screaming and we peered from above, looking down at them all superior-ly! our eyes all had this similar evil gleam-clickfive just spend an afternoon with us. HAHAHA enjoying it while it lasts man!

BEN FOR PRESIDENT!

and now for the up-close and personal shots! ;D

Joe Guese came to out table first.

he just stood there, sort of like he didn't know what to do! hahaha. seeing how it got a little awkward, I said, 'joe do you want to sit down?'

and he smiled and replied no, but instead, knelt down so that he is almost on the 'same level' as us as we were sitting down!

awwwww.......

ennoi i see you! hahahahahaha. (i hugged him too! mingli you may start throwing darts at the computer screen now. LOL okok, sorry girl i dun mean to spite you! and thx for listening to me go and on that night! :D)

Joey Zehr came to our table!

cant believe he is right there! OMG!

case of severe star-struck. hahahaha.

asked him if they had caught much sleep the night after the concert, he chuckled and said 'not really' in this cute cheeky way! ahhhhhhhhhhh! (haha sry guys cant really help it)

i actually asked him if I could wear his shades, but he said it was to cover his tired eyes. haha ohwells. he still look super cute anyway. :D and i got him to sign my badge!

hugged him too. ahahaha scream my lungs out!

Ben Romans came to our table!

oh ya about the instrument thing.. i asked him if he had taken long to learn how to play it and he was funny! He acted all smugly and was like, 'nah!' and said a bunch of other things. but i guess because I was still registering the fact that i'm having a conversation with ben romans(!!), i wasn't really listening, just nodding my head and smiling all the way. haha yes i wanna smack myself too.

he agreed to let me wear his shades! lols I love this picture!

With Ethan Mentzer..

ennoi i see you again! hahahaha yes you really got to stop appearing in backgrounds man!

haha i got ethan making a funny face too..

oh ya so did i mention that I brought my boyfriend along too?and that he happens to have an uncanny resemblence to a particular hottie named kyle?

hahhahahaaha feast your eyes! (now im really gonna get bashed up)

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

everytime I see this picture I blush and go a little breathless, then I'll think of how he held my waist and how our bodies pressed against each other when we hugged......

hey hey hey share my joy alright! hahaha!

shan and chun actually said this pic look artistic! hahaha. ennoi was the one who took it, though quite unwillingly. LOL. but still, thanks anyway girl! love it. :)

had kyle answer me something while looking at me in the eyes! hahaha shall not mention further in case some crazy fan comes and read my blog.

ennoi was very funny! when kyle came to our table we were both sitting down. he went to stand directly in front of us and ennoi was going ,'kyle kyle kyle kyle kyle, look Felicia, it's Kyle!'(from her blog) hahahahaha i started laughing and kyle bent over(ABOVE ME ME!) to pat her shoulder, said 'hey chill..' or something like that. LOL it was so cute!

A group shot!with the girls at our table and theclickfive of course! :D

happy! :D

yay my first time getting up close and personal with stars! and its ennoi's first time too! haha..who knows when i'll have a chance like this again. never in my dreams have I imagined that i could meet them.. haha you bet i'll remember this day! :)

i realise there's side effects too you know, and its quite serious can! haha. there's still this unreal feeling, this weird wave of sadness and longingness when they're gone. like we have crossed their paths, played a small part in their lives in the most roundabout ways. like ennoi said, this sense of closure... lols. im finding it hard to explain! i know i sound a little weird, but i'm actually being serious okay! hahaha.

alright thats all for this post. holiday homework awaits. :(

P.S i didnt make that video. could'nt find a full-length flipside track alone. thus the video. haha its only gonna be for a few days(just to suit this post!), then it'll be 'better in time' again i guess. i love that song!

hahaha and i love the click five too!
goodbye. :)

(all the exclaimation marks are making me sick. lols.)

you are not alone
I love him all the same

saturday, july 18th, 2009. Michael Jackson, King of Pop
If I were to write this post one week ago I wouldn't have got past the first few lines, without crying so badly. Admittedly, the news of his passing did not bothered, much less saddened me because my impression of him was vague and as a child I wasn;t exposed to any of this songs or videos, just news from the press every now and then. Till a few days after his death. I went on Youtube and before I knew it I was clicking videos after videos, watching and in awe of this man who not only served to entertain, but strived to serve the community with his enormous heart. And as I watched on and knew more, so much more about what he've been through his life, emotions started pouring in. And when I least expected it, tears started to come. I was never his fan, but now I regret not being one. It is not just one of those idol craze or whatever no, it was true sincere admiration for his works and humanitarianism that touched me, that made me look upon him as a role model. Its hard to believe that since the media had portrayed him as some wacko freak, paedophile, child molester..etc. but may I say, BULLSHIT. he is none of that sort. Other than being the greatest entertainer of the time and coming up with the most original dance moves that many stars tried hard (but pale in comparison in my opinion) to imitate, Micheal Jackson shares the love he has, especially to children, to people around him. He was a philanthropist, donating millions of dollars to the record 39 charities he supported, and raising more through his own Heal the World Foundation. He built NeverLand Ranch, complete with amusement parks, fun rides, a place where children dreamed of going for fun and laughter. From young, Michael Jackson had a childhood very different from others, where had to perform at a very young age. When he made mistakes, his father used to beat him, and not only with a belt. To make up for his lost childhood, Michael had always adored children and he himself is somehow like a child trapped in an adult body (watch his documentary, ignore the stupid bastard interviewer who was plain bias and selfish to see that such a nature still exists in a man so great he just had to bring him down. shall not waste time elaborating on this backstabbing ass because he's simply not worth it. If you're interested, watch the documentary Living with Michael Jackson on youtube. I could'nt get past to the last few parts because I got so fed up with his narrow-mindedness and ignorance that I closed the window). So back to the point. Michael Jackson brought orphans to NeverLand, where they play freely in the theme parks and find joy and laughter, which he himself derive more than anyone else' from the happy looks on their faces. Children were invited for sleepovers at his place, because it was safe, secure. But when news of him being a child paedophile arose after being charged by one of the kids who slept in his room, he ended up paying millions of dollars aside from being publicly humiliated and disgraced. because he did nothing disgraceful of that sort. because a few years later the kid owned up that it was his parents who made him to do, succumbed to the temptation of money, something which Micheal Jackson do not lacked. The father was tape-recorded discussing his intention to pursue charges, where he said, "If I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever ... Michael's career will be over". It was painful. Yet Michael still persisted, years later, in bringing less fortunate children to NeverLand, because that was more important to him. Even though the pain and hurt he had gone through had probably never healed. His strength is one of the reasons why I admire him so much. Then there was another incident, this time of him 'dangling' his baby over the window. 'omg he's crazy he wants to throw the baby down!!!!' maybe that's what it seemed like on tv and on papers, but what they didn't show is the crowd of fans below the hotel he's staying, yelling his name and wanting to also see his baby. So Michael showed them his baby, his hands wrapped under his baby's arms so tight and pulled him back as fast as he could. But what did the viewers see? A slowed-down version of him apparently dangling his baby in mid-air like a bad father. Its ignorance if people believed he was going to actually throw his own baby down the building. And at that time, I was one of the ignorant ones. I remembered looking at the pictures on some gossip magazine and felt slightly freaked out. But now I realise how much he loved his children, and how hard he tried to protect them from the media. And again, all these negative press and biasness probably was too overwhelming....how much pain can a person take? we would never know because we're not him, its hard to understand. But maybe all these people will leave him alone now, since he's already gone. I bought The Essential Michael Jackson cd, a compilation of hit songs by him. My dad and I watched his concerts and performances and music videos and we were more than in awe, in fact I think thats an understatement. Newfound respect and admiration for the man who was so creative and original, who dared to do things not commonly seen, creating dance steps while he sang at those times when most singers just stood there and sung. He thought of challenging and exciting music videos where people had never seen the injection of extra footage to create a kind of story. And not to mention those crazy vocals, coordinated dance moves, the famous moonwalk (I never get tired of it) and this amazing 45degree tilt he does which simply blows my mind away. It was all his signature style, the gloves, the crotch-grabbing whatever. Every single performance was done in class and so much more. He was an inspiration to people over the world, different races, and especially to African-Americans. He was an icon and also their pride. I can rattle on and on because there's too many things about him that are truly inspiring and simply awesome but sometimes words just cant fully express it. And yes maybe I do seem a little bias but this is what I truly feel. My only regret is that I have and will never get the chance to attend one of his mind-blowing concerts and be one of those lucky fans who felt the presence of Michael Jackson, the most successful entertainer of all time, the King Of Pop. 'Smile, even though your heart is aching.' This is one of the lyrics from his favourite song 'Smile', written by Charlie Chaplin and was sung during his memorial. I remembered someone said something like this during the memorial, 'Even though we need him here, but I guess God needed him more'. Even though we miss him so much, Heaven is probably the place he needs to be, away from any pain, suffering or cruelty. (rhymes!) He has already achieved so much and left behind a wonderful legecy that will pass down to generations after generations. Thank you Michael.
